Lucy George
Utility · Miramonte · Class of 2029
About Lucy
Lucy George brings a rare combination of physical toughness and unselfish play to Meridian's roster. As a freshman utility player, she has already established herself as a relentless competitor who thrives in the physical moments of water polo — the screens, the positioning battles, the support work that quietly shifts momentum. Her game sense is sharp and intuitive; she reads the defense quickly and makes the right play, whether that's threading a pass to an open teammate or creating space for others to attack. Beyond her technical skills, Lucy's competitive fire is contagious. She approaches every rep, every drill, and every game with intensity, yet balances that drive with genuine positivity and humor that keeps the team energized and cohesive.
What makes Lucy invaluable is her versatility and ability to find cutters in transition, paired with her willingness to do the hard, unglamorous work. She understands that water polo success isn't measured only in goals scored — it's measured in screens set, advantages created, and teammates elevated. Her team-first mindset, combined with her athletic ability, positions her to grow into multiple roles as she develops. As she gains more game experience and refines her consistency, her impact on both ends of the pool will only deepen. She's the kind of player coaches build around — one who competes hard, thinks the game well, and genuinely makes everyone around her better.
