At Miramonte Water Polo Club, we currently offer two competitive girls teams — 16U and 18U — providing athletes with a structured, four-year development pathway designed to prepare them for success at the collegiate and international levels.
Our 16U program lays the groundwork with a focus on technique, tactical understanding, and team-centered play, while the 18U program builds on that foundation with advanced movement, game intelligence, and the refined execution of our system. Together, these programs represent a comprehensive journey — one that develops confident, skilled, and mentally tough players ready to lead in the pool and beyond.
16u Women’s Program at Miramonte Water Polo Club
Designed for high school freshmen and sophomores, our 16U program is where the next generation of Miramonte athletes sharpen their skills and embrace the values that define our club. What sets Miramonte apart is our philosophy: we don’t just teach water polo — we teach how to play it the right way. Every session emphasizes disciplined technique, situational awareness, and intelligent, team-first execution that reflects our system and identity.
Here, athletes build more than physical ability — they develop confidence, accountability, and purpose. Through focused repetition and competitive drills, players learn how to prepare like champions and perform with integrity, grit, and precision. The 16U program is where commitment meets growth — a bridge between learning the game and mastering it. We’re shaping complete players who embody the Miramonte standard in the water, in the classroom, and in life.
18u Women’s Program at Miramonte Water Polo Club
Our 18U program brings together high school juniors and seniors ready to elevate their game to the next level. Building on the foundation established at 16U, this stage dives deeper into advanced movements, in-game reads, and the tactical nuance of the Miramonte system — all with one purpose: preparing athletes for the demands of collegiate water polo.
Here, players refine their mechanics, expand their decision-making range, and master the timing, communication, and precision that distinguish elite competitors. Practices are structured to simulate real-game intensity, demanding athletes to think, react, and lead under pressure. The 18U environment challenges every player to step forward as a leader — someone who raises the standard for themselves and their teammates. At Miramonte, we take pride in developing complete athletes who are technically sound, tactically sharp, and mentally prepared to succeed at the next level and beyond.
